A social media user has alleged that he received the wrong product instead of the Nothing phone (2a) that he had ordered. He also claimed that his request for a return had been rejected without giving a proper explanation.
An X user, Tuyyab (@MalikTuyyab) claimed that he had ordered a Nothing phone (2a) on Flipkart, but he got an ikall phone instead.
"I ordered a Nothing Phone 2a but I received the wrong product, specifically some ikall brand phone. I've been trying to return/replace the product since yesterday, but I've received no support from your end," he wrote.
According to him, Flipkart has rejected his request stating that the courier service provider has confirmed delivery of the order with the product being intact.
"First, your seller rejected my return request on some whimsical grounds, providing one reason in the in-app reply and different reasons in the email response," he said.
He claimed that this replacement request also was not successful as he was not able to upload the required images.
The user further alleged that all this was happening despite the fact that he had an unboxing video as proof.
In the video posted by Tuyyab, the delivery agent can be seen opening the box and pulling out an 'I Kall' phone.
"It's unfortunate that such restrictive return policies push consumers towards offline markets, contradicting the advancements of the modern internet era. In an age where digital empowerment and consumer rights are emphasized, this is a step backwards," he said.
