The toll in the Pulwama attack on CRPF convoy climbed to 40 on Friday. High-grade RDX explosive, weighing about 80 kilogram, was used in a suicide attack on a CRPF bus that killed 40 paramilitary personnel in one of the deadliest terror strikes on security forces in the Kashmir Valley in three decades, officials said on Friday.?
Home Minister Rajnath Singh had also said in Srinagar that civilian traffic movement during plying of convoys will be restricted.
The officials said a post-blast investigation conducted by security agencies has found that "high-grade RDX" of about 80 kilogram was detonated in the blast that was carried out by a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist after he rammed his explosive laden SUV into the ill-fated bus--HR 49 F 0637--from the left side.
The two teams visited the site of the attack at Lethpora, some 30 km from Srinagar on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway, clicked photos and took videos and collected evidence from ground zero for forensic examination.

Reports suggest that the NIA team also spoke to some CRPF jawans, who were part of the convoy that was targeted by the suicide bomber, and J&K Police personnel.
Agencies are also examining cross-border call records after Jaish-e-Mohammed took responsibility for carrying out the dastardly attack on CRPF convoy.
In the worst-ever terror attack in J&K, a suicide bomber, recognised as Adil Ahmad Dar, rammed his explosive-laden Scorpio SUV into a CRPF bus. The bus was ferrying over 40 soldiers and was part of a convoy of over 70 vehicles with 2,547 CRPF personnel, moving from Jammu to Srinagar.?
