Uber's latest 'lost and found' index for 2024 just confirmed what we already suspected: Indians have a knack for forgetfulness! No surprises here, but Delhi takes the crown as the 'most forgetful city' in India. And hold onto your hats because, believe it or not, one of the most commonly lost items is a ukulele!
According to Uber India's official website, after Delhi, people in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune are the next most forgetful bunch.
In 2023, the most commonly forgotten items were mobile phones, followed by laptop bags, clothing, keys, headphones, wallets, spectacles/sunglasses, water bottles, jewelry, and watches.
Interestingly, the most forgotten mobile phones were Apple, with Samsung and Redmi also being left behind in Uber cabs.
Aside from phones, which top the forgetfulness charts, unique lost items include ukuleles, coin collections, gate valves, cornflakes, and temple prasad.
Uber India's 'lost and found' index also reveals that November 10, 9, and 11 were the top three forgetful days of the year, while the most forgetful times of day were 7 pm, 8 pm, and 6 pm.
As for colors, blue, red, and pink ranked as the top three hues of forgotten items.
Uber also released its worldwide lost and found index for 2024.?
"Over the last twelve months, items of clothing, luggage, headphones and wallets topped the list of most frequently forgotten belongings," the official website read.?
"Miami was the most forgetful city, red was the most lost color, 9 pm and 10 pm are when most folks report lost items, and January 21st was the most forgetful day," it added.
