Prashant Kishor is arguably India's most famous political strategist and has worked with several parties, including the BJP, Congress, JD(U), AAP, YSRCP, DMK, and TMC, advising them on electoral strategies. But how much does it cost for parties to get advice from PK?
Apparently, it is Rs 100 crore or more for just one election. Kishor has reportedly claimed that he charges more than ?100 crore as a fee when providing election strategy services.
Kishor, who is also the founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, made the claim while addressing an election rally in Bihar's Belaganj.
"In Bihar, no one has heard of fees like mine. If I advise someone in just one election, my fee is Rs 100 crore or even more. For the next two years, I can continue to fund my campaign with just one such election advice,¡± Kishor said.
Mohammad Amjad is the JSP's candidate from Belaganj for the upcoming by-elections there.
The Election Commission has allotted a 'school bag' symbol to the Jan Suraaj Party for the upcoming by-elections in four assembly constituencies in Bihar.
Kishor started his career as a political strategist in 2011 with Narendra Modi, who was then the Chief Minister of Gujarat, helping him in his re-election. He later founded the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) and worked with Nitish Kumar in the 2015 Bihar Assembly election. Later, he also worked with Congress, but in 2022, the two sides fell apart, and Kishor refused to join the party after its leadership turned down his proposal for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
After quitting as a political strategist, Kishor ventured into electoral politics with the formation of the Jan Suraaj Party earlier this year. The party will make its electoral debut in the by-elections in Bihar.
