A few days ago, Google CEO Sundar Pichai explained Congress why typing ¡®Idiot¡¯ in Google search bar throws up photos of US President Donald Trump. The hearing was nothing less than a laugh-riot.
However, seems like the government across the world are not yet done with awkward questions and plan to get answers from the Google CEO himself.
Punjab assembly (Pakistan) passed a resolution to summon Google CEO Pichai and ask him to explain why search for ¡®bhikari¡¯ shows Prime Minister Imran Khan¡¯s photos.
Pichai was recently asked an uncomfortable question during a recent Congressional hearing in the US: Why do images of Donald Trump show up when one searches the word 'idiot' on Google?

As expected, Pichai explained to the Congress how Google¡¯s search algorithm worked. He said that the algorithm collates data from millions of web pages collected and stored by Google to generate results for a term that is searched on its engine.
Basically, Pichai explained that when a keyword is searched in Google Images, the results come up with images that use the term as a tag.
Precisely, if people in the Punjab assembly looked up for Pichai¡¯s recent explanation, there wouldn¡¯t be any need to pass the resolution.
