Thanks to a quick-on-his-toes security guard at?Bengaluru's Cubbon?Park metro station, a 12-year-old boy was saved from getting electrocuted after falling on the tracks. The boy, out of the mischievousness of his ways, had fallen inches away from the high-voltage line that powers the trains.?

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in full view of his parents and other commuters who were waiting to hail a train towards?Baiyappanahalli.
Even though no train was entering the station, the security guard immediately jumped to shut the emergency power button on the platform to cut the electric supply to the tracks. If the boy had touched the voltage line, he would have been electrocuted instantly.?
The boy, luckily, escaped with minor injuries and was brought to safety by other security guards.

The 25-year-old guard, who hails from Bihar, has been rewarded for his heroism, however, officials with Namma Metro refrained from revealing his name due to his contract with a security firm.
The parents of the kid were fined with Rs. 1,000 for negligence as per the Namma Metro rules. Sine they coughed up the fine, no police complaint was awarded to the parents.?
