India witnessed more unlocking as several states opened schools and public conveyances outside containment zones opened today onwards.?
Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Sikkim are the first states to reopen schools with strict COVID-19 norms in place. In Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, students of classes 9 to 12 are allowed to come with their parental consent.
Classes will be held in shifts, and all necessary protocols including social distancing and proper sanitisation of premises will be followed by the school.
In UP, 50 per cent? of the students should be called in every class on one day and the remaining 50 per cent the next day.
In Punjab, only one student will be allowed to sit on one bench and the schools will open for three hours a day.
In Sikkim, the state government has come up with a new academic calendar.?
