Airports washrooms are strange places. They are mostly as crowded as other public convenience options in modern cities but still they are clean AF and you seldom run out screaming eww.
But another thing that sets it apart is the amazing diversity of people you meet in these washrooms and the fact that you almost never interact with any of them. They leave you and you leave them in complete peace - no interference.

This also creates the perfect setting for bizarre activities. While we will not give u a lecture on what you can and yet you must not at airport washrooms, we surely want to share this interesting bit of news with you.
Someone left gold jewellery and bars worth Rs 70 lakh in the gents washroom at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport earlier today.
The 'dump' was discovered by the air intelligence unit of Mumbai customs. Gold jewellery weighing 1.3 kg and nine gold bars bearing foreign markings collectively weighing 1kg were found, wrapped in black tape, from the dustbin of the gents washroom opposite conveyor belt 5. The total value of the recovery is Rs 70.65 lakh.
AIU officials think the gold was dumped as the smugglers were afraid of being caught. They have started scanning CCTV footage to nab the smugglers.?
But for those of us who are shocked and amused with this news, please don't go ransacking trashcans at ?airport washrooms!
