Years went by, and the next thing that we know is that we all accepted how poor and feeble the system was. Then one fine day, Prabhu?was sworn-in as Cabinet minister in Narendra Modi government and things changed.?

He became the first railway minister who introduced railway budget without launching a single train and more focused on facilities during the fiscal year 2015-2016.?
Now we have high-speed trains, WIFI on stations, and?use of social media to improve passenger amenities.

Over the past few months, railways have done a lot to ensure that it is everything that it preaches.?As part of Swachh Rail Mission, 300 kids to clean railway stations every Sunday, there are vending machines on railway stations, and everything else just got better.?
"A major achievement Prabhu will be known for in the first two years is putting back on rails many of the crucial but incomplete tasks that were pending for a long time. Work has gained momentum on locomotive factories and the Dedicated Freight Corridor project," said Vishwas Udgirkar, senior director, Deloitte.

The focus of Indian Railways is to ensure clean and hygienic toilets, maintenance of cleanliness at stations, trains etc., tree plantation, and removal of encroachments, improving drainage, public awareness campaign and periodic monitoring of the mission. ¡±
