Two families in Southern Kerala's Kollam district were struggling to get their swapped babies back. they have finally got a relief after six months of struggle.

Ramsy-Aneesh and Naushad-Jazeera underwent a DNA test at the Child Welfare Committee before getting their babies back. Both Ramsy and Jazeera gave birth to their babies at Medicity Hospital in Kollam on October 22.
The families alleged that their babies got swapped while they returned from medical examination.

According to Ramsy's family, they had given the hospital staff a green towel, but when they got the baby back, it was wrapped in a yellow cloth.
The family alleged that they had immediately raised suspicion of a possible swap, but the hospital refused to listen to their complaint.
It was only after three months when Naushad and Jazeera took their baby for vaccination it was found that the toddler's blood group was O+ and not A+ as mentioned in the hospital records.

Even after this, the family Alleged the hospital refused to accept their mistake, forcing them to approach police and Child Welfare Committee.?
The two couples underwent DNA test and their doubts turned out to be true - the babies had in fact been swapped.
Noushad claimed that the hospital management had offered him money to give a statement that the babies were swapped outside.
