Lots of people procrastinate, of course, but for writers, it is a peculiarly common occupational hazard. Many believe it¡¯s a form of resistance. And, many insist on facing the ultimate enemy of productivity. Wattpad writers give us tips on how to conquer procrastination and write our woes away. Take a look.
One of the writers, Benita Ritz says the important part about writing is to keep writing and?read a lot from different genres, authors, languages and cultures.??
"Resilience is imperative in the writing process. Find what keeps you going. I write because I love to see the things in my head come alive on paper," she said.?
Benita explained, "Writing could feel like being lost in the sea. The best way to get through it is to keep going without expecting to see the horizon anytime soon because you may or may not see it at all."

Another writer Sarah White says that one of the biggest hurdles in writing is finding the time to sit down and create something when you are feeling unmotivated.?
"Procrastination is a dangerous game whether you are on aprofessional deadline or have a personal goal you are hoping to achieve," Sarah said.?
On how to overcome the struggle, she explained: "I¡¯ve learned that schedulingout a specific time to write doesn¡¯t work for me, but planning ahead to have otherresponsibilities taken care of so that my time is free to concentrate on writing helps to reduceprocrastination."
She added, "I also like to keep in touch with fellow author friends who will support my craftand encourage me to keep up my work on projects. It¡¯s hard to procrastinate when others areholding you accountable in a fun way."

Author Amethyst narrates her journey into the world of writing. She began writing?shortstories for her school magazine and only in 2015 really worked on her writing skills upon discovering Wattpad. That's when she wrote her first full-fledged novel.
"On days when my head feels emptyof words, Wattpad and its community have been my best and biggest motivating force.engaging with readers and authors on the platform has inspired me all through writing my firstthree teen fiction novels, and it continues to drive me forward as I'm writing my fourth."

The writer of The Last Princess says the trouble with writing is a fact that rings true for every writer she knows. Kakpie says, "And yet we push through, we go on because inside us arestories that need to be told, words that need to be inked and feelings that are practicallybursting out.When I start writing, I don¡¯t let myself quit."
"I write because worlds live inside me. And, these worlds have people, people with feelings,feelings I do my best to convey," the writer says.
She further says, "If I ever think I can¡¯t write like there¡¯s a physical forcestopping me from typing out that first word, I remind myself about the worlds I house. Aboutthe people, I¡¯ve dreamed up. I remind myself of what I love about them."
