The receding winters could bring yet another cold wave in parts of Northern India in the coming days. A cold wave is likely to hit Delhi and other parts of North India starting from Sunday, the Indian Meteorological Department said.
According to the IMD, the cold wave could continue well into the week till 30th, when widespread rains are predicted across Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

The minimum temperature recorded in Delhi had dropped to 4 degrees and is expected to be around the same in the coming days. Night temperatures are also predicted to drop to as less as 2 degrees celsius in the same period.
Skymet Weather has predicted that the entire North-western India will remain under the grip of a cold wave for at least two days. Thereafter, an active Western Disturbance will approach the Western Himalayas due to which rainfall activities are expected how many parts of Punjab, two parts of Haryana and isolated pockets of Delhi and NCR.?

The Cold Wave conditions are expected to abate by January 30 and 31 due to the approach of Western Disturbance and change in wind direction.?
As far as the air quality is concerned, Skymet Weather says pollution levels will remain in the moderate category and a massive increase is not expected.
