To help air passengers de-stress, Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd (MIAL) has provided therapy dogs called ¡®Comforting Angels¡¯, at the city¡¯s international airport. Angel, Muffin and Cocoa, and their handlers (who are trained in counselling) help soothe nerves, especially for first-time fliers before they board.
Initially introduced in September 2015 at the international terminal, the scheme had been discontinued for some time. It resumed again on December 1.

The dogs move freely around Terminal 2 with their handlers, and passengers are welcome to engage with them free of cost. Playing fetch, rolling around on the ground, or even simply spending a few moments cuddling, these furry angels are desensitised to new situations and people, to ensure they stay calm manner and do not intimidate people.
Even the most harried passengers do not fail to crack a smile at the sight of these friendly faces, an MIAL spokesperson told Mirror. At present, three therapy dogs work in rotation on weekend evenings at T2.
