That's precisely what happened in Mumbai.?
The strange incident occurred in Ghatkopar, where a 27-year-old woman and her brother and parents bashed up her husband and his mother over fights that originated after the man failed to acknowledge the couple's wedding anniversary on February 18.?
Police officials revealed that the enraged woman allegedly asked her parents and brother to come to her matrimonial home after her husband didn't remember to wish her.?
Following this, her brother and parents arrived at the house. Together, all four individuals assaulted her husband and his mother. They did not stop at this and damaged the man's vehicle too.?
The 32-year-old victim, Vishal Nangre, is employed as a driver in a courier company. And, his wife Kalpana works in a food outlet.?
The couple got married in 2018 and live together in Baiganwadi, Govandi.?
?As per Nangre's allegations, his wife Kalpana got furious and fought with him on Saturday, February 18, as he forgot their wedding anniversary.? ?
The FIR, in which the police booked Kalpana and her aiding family members, states that the following evening, the matter spiralled even further.?
At that moment, Nangre, who was washing his vehicle near his house, saw Kalpana, who was returning from her office.?
She then started abusing him and his mother, saying she didn't want to live with him anymore.This was when Kalpana summoned her brother and parents and an argument between parties happened upon their arrival.?
During the quarrel, Kalpana's brother even damaged Nangre's vehicle and broke the window pane of his house. Thereafter, Kalpana, her parents and brother came to her mother-in-law's residence in Ghatkopar West to discuss the issue.?
They were accompanied by Nangre as well.Later at 9:30 pm, while arguing, Kalpana slapped her mother-in-law, which caused further escalation, leading to the beating of both Nangre and his mother.?
The aggrieved individuals then headed to Rajawadi hospital and, after collecting their medical reports, approached the Ghatkopar police.?
Nangre, in his complaint to cops, claimed that his wife's brother and parents assaulted him. He alleged that his wife's brother even bit on his hand and face.?
In response, the police registered a case under sections 323, 324, 327, 504 and 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code against his wife, brother and her parents.?
"The four have been booked for assault. We have given them notice and will inquire about the matter and will take legal action against them," Senior inspector Sanjay Dahake told Hindustan Times.?
