Kangana Ranaut lashes out at Uddhav Thackeray after MVA's Maha poll rollout, calls him 'daitya' for disrespecting women

After a shocking defeat for Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT) and their allies in the?Maharashtra assembly elections, BJP MP and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut did not miss a chance to lash out at the former Maharashtra Chief Minister.?

On Sunday, the actor took a dig at the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi? (MVA), who called Uddhav Thackeray a 'daitya' (demon). She also stated that she had anticipated his loss. Ranaut in a statement released a day after Mahayuti swept Maharashtra said, "I expected such a bad failure of Uddhav Thackeray."

"We can identify who is a 'devta' (god) and who is a 'daitya' (demon) depending on if they respect women or work for their welfare," she added.?

The Mandi MP did not stop there, she went on to comment on the Maharashtra assembly election results and said, those who disrespect women are monsters and they will meet their fate like Thackeray did. Referring to how under the orders of the then-Uddhav Thackeray’s rule a part of the house was demolished in 2020, she? said, “They demolished my house and even used foul words against me, so it was evident that they had lost their sense of right and wrong..."

Before the demolition of Kangana’s house in 2020, she had controversially said that she felt more threatened by the Mumbai Police than a ‘movie mafia’. Later she also made a comparison between Mumbai and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir which triggered the heat more between Kangana and the state government.?

In one of the old videos of the actress on X (formerly Twitter) is seen saying, “Uddhav Thackeray, tujhe kya lagta hai? (what do you think?)… colluded along with the film mafia, demolished my home and took revenge on me? My home was demolished today, your arrogance will crumble tomorrow."?
