Additionally, the team participated in a victory lap around the field, waving the Indian flag amidst the chants of ¡°Vande Mataram¡± reverberating across the stadium. The Indian cricketers elevated the moment by joining the fans in singing ¡°Maa Tujhe Salaam.¡±
But what caught the nation's attention was that Hardik Pandya became involved in a hilarious incident during the victory lap at Wankhede.
While encouraging the crowd with his arms outstretched, a T-shirt suddenly came flying in from the stands, landing directly in his right hand. Pandya, with a smile on his face, dropped the T-shirt and went ahead with the ongoing celebration.
Jasprit Bumrah, who was just behind Pandya, witnessed the amusing event and burst out into laughter. The moment was captured on camera and quickly shared online. One fan posted the footage on X, captioning it, ¡°Hardik caught someone¡¯s T-shirt and the way Bumrah is dying of laughter.¡±

Although he had played 8 matches, Bumrah was named the Player of the Tournament after taking 15 wickets.
