The government has allowed further relaxation in the lockdown 5.0 aka unlock 1.0. The movement of vehicles all over the country from June 8,2020 will be more relaxed. This would include free movement of passenger and public transport vehicles all across the state borders.?
It has also been clarified by the Minister of Home Affairs that the movement passes - epass will now not be required anymore except for essential service providers who will be out in lockdown timings between 9 pm and 5 am. Despite that, local authorities have been empowered to alter these rules according to the prevailing situations in the areas.?
Many states have already announced changes to these rules while further extending the lockdown. Maharashtra as a state has extended the lockdown to June 30th and allowed only the intra-state bus travel on the other hand inter district travel is still prohibited.?
In Gujarat, while bike riders are allowed in the state, cars with 6 seats can carry only a maximum of four passengers.?
Tamil Nadu bus services will continue in Chennai but inter-state transport will not be allowed. Himachal Pradesh on the other hand has allowed 60 per cent of the total bus capacity but with air conditioners switched off.?
Some states and union territories have also declared an increase in fuel prices which are starting from today. The states which have increased the fuel prices are Maharashtra, J&K and Himachal Pradesh.
Maharashtra has decided to increase the cess rates on the fuel which means prices of Petrol and Diesel will go up by 2 Rs/ litre. J&K petrol will be increased by 2 Rs/ litre and Diesel by ? 1/litre. Himachal Pradesh will see both Petrol and Diesel Price go up by 1 Rs/Litre.?
