Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami marked three years of his government's service, good governance, and development with three significant announcements aimed at boosting employment and welfare in the state. The announcements, made during a grand event at Parade Ground, Dehradun, included policies for regularizing contractual employees, financial assistance for students, and prioritizing local contractors for government projects.
Addressing a large gathering, Chief Minister Dhami pledged to formulate a concrete policy for the regular appointment of UPNAL and contractual employees. He also announced financial assistance and training for students and graduates preparing for competitive exams, with a dedicated platform and high-level committee to facilitate this initiative. Additionally, government projects up to ?10 crore will now be exclusively allocated to local contractors.
The Chief Minister began his address by paying tribute to the martyrs of Uttarakhand and Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev. He highlighted the state's achievements under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance, citing progress in education, health, infrastructure, and various other sectors.
Dhami addressed concerns about regionalism and caste-based divisions, emphasizing the importance of unity and progress for the state. He outlined key achievements over the past three years, including the provision of LPG cylinders for Antyodaya families, women＊s and statehood activists＊ reservations, old-age pension benefits, reinstatement of sports quota in government jobs, student scholarships, and free pathological tests.
He also highlighted Uttarakhand's top ranking in the SDG Index, its recognition in Ease of Doing Business and Startup Rankings, a significant decline in unemployment, and growth in GDP and per capita income. The Chief Minister also spoke about the G-20 meetings, the Global Investors Summit, and the National Games held in the state, as well as the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), anti-copying law, and laws against riots and religious conversions.
During the event, Chief Minister Dhami released the publication ＆Three Years of Service, Good Governance, and Development,＊ detailing the government＊s achievements. He also digitally launched the ＆Devbhoomi Rajat Utsav 每 Sankalp Se Siddhi＊ calendar and inaugurated a content creator competition.
The event honoured 13 children rescued from child begging and enrolled in mainstream education. Compensation was distributed to landowners for the Lakhwar Multipurpose Project, and beneficiaries received checks and house keys under the Atal Housing Scheme.
Cultural performances showcased the state's heritage, and the Chief Minister participated in a roadshow and visited exhibition stalls. The main event was broadcast live across all districts, with similar programs held at district and block levels. Ministers and public representatives participated as chief guests in these events.
