When was the last time you felt that it was necessary to wear your office id card while planning to do something that was even remotely risky?
In an un-freaking-believable incident, a Trump support who took part in the Capitol Hill riots a couple of days ago was shown the door by his employer after his identity was revealed.
How did he get caught? Well in one of the many pictures of the rioter inside the building, the unnamed man who was wearing a "Trump" hat and holding a flag was spotted wearing the badge around his neck, and the logo on it was subsequently identified as belonging to Navistar Direct Marketing (NDM).
According to a report in SFGATE, on Thursday, the company issued a statement saying:
On Thursday morning, the county announced the employee's termination.
"Navistar Direct Marketing was made aware that a man wearing a Navistar company badge was seen inside the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 during the security breach," the company wrote in a?statement. "After review of the photographic evidence the employee in question has been terminated for cause.
"While we support all employee¡¯s right to peaceful, lawful exercise of free speech, any employee demonstrating dangerous conduct that endangers the health and safety of others will no longer have an employment opportunity with Navistar Direct Marketing."
The report also added that many more of the rioters have been identified from the viral photos and have faced the same fate.
