An "almost naked" party at a Moscow nightclub, held during a time when Russia is involved in a conflict with Ukraine and the government is promoting a more conservative social agenda, has generated a rapid and strong backlash.
A video clip showing Putin's spokesperson listening to an explanation from one of the attendees has circulated online. Baza, a news outlet with connections to security services, reported that troops involved in the conflict in Ukraine were among the first to express dissatisfaction after seeing the footage, and photographs from the event reached Putin, who was unimpressed.

The fierce backlash from the authorities, pro-Kremlin lawmakers and bloggers, state media, and Orthodox Church groups has been dominating the headlines for days, displacing stories about rising egg prices and inflation.
Hosted by Russian media personality Anastasia Ivleeva, the party attracted pop stars Filipp Kirkorov, Lolita, and Dima Bilan, alongside TV host and 2018 presidential candidate Ksenia Sobchak, Moscow Times reported.
After the online backlash, Russian law enforcement raided the Mutabor nightclub during the event¡¯s second day, according to the Moscow Times. Ivleeva, responding to criticism on Telegram, remarked that the people who appreciate beautiful Western models hypocritically raise objections to such events in Russia.
