One of the aviation world's most baffling mysteries centres around Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, which vanished over a decade ago on March 8, 2014, leaving the world in suspense as countless search efforts yielded no answers. Now, Australian scientist Vincent Lyne claims to have finally unravelled the enigma¡ªand he's revealing his groundbreaking findings.

Vincent Lyne shared his groundbreaking research on the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 on LinkedIn,?declaring, "This work changes the narrative of MH370's disappearance."
His study, titled "Final Two Communications from MH370 Suggests Controlled Eastward Descent," has been accepted by the Journal of Navigation (JN).
Lyne claims to have pinpointed the exact location of MH370¡ªwhere the longitude of Penang airport's runway intersects with a track from the pilot's home simulator, previously dismissed by the FBI as "irrelevant."
This specific spot lies in a perilous 6,000-meter-deep hole at the eastern end of the Broken Ridge, a treacherous oceanic environment known for its rugged terrain and untapped deep-water species.?
According to Lyne, this location is the perfect "hiding place" for the missing aircraft: "With narrow steep sides, surrounded by massive ridges and other deep holes, it is filled with fine sediments¡ªa perfect 'hiding' place."
He emphasises, "That location needs to be verified as a high priority. Whether it will be searched or not is up to officials and search companies, but as far as science is concerned, we know why the previous searches failed and likewise science unmistakably points to where MH370 lies. In short, the MH370 mystery has been comprehensively solved in science!"
How did Malaysian flight MH370 disappear?
Lyne disputes the prevailing theory that MH370 disappeared due to "no-blame, fuel-starvation at the 7th arc, high-speed dive."
Instead, he argues that the real cause was a "mastermind pilot almost executing an incredible perfect-disappearance in the Southern Indian Ocean."
The pilot in question was Zaharie Ahmad Shah, who commanded the Boeing 777 with 227 passengers and 12 crew members aboard. MH370 vanished as it left the Malaysian airspace and proceeded to Vietnamese airspace en route to Beijing.
In his research, Lyne suggests the damage to MH370's wings, flaps, and flaperon resembles the "controlled ditching" famously performed by Captain Sully when he landed US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River in 2009 after a bird strike.?
This contradicts earlier claims of a high-speed crash, and supports the idea of a deliberate, controlled landing.
These earlier claims stemmed from the work of decorated ex-Chief Canadian Air-crash Investigator Larry Vance, who analysed the debris and concluded that MH370 had fuel and running engines when it underwent a controlled ditching, not a fuel-starved dive.
Suspicion initially fell on Shah when it became clear that a Boeing 777 couldn't just vanish without the guidance of a seasoned pilot.?
During the investigation, a hard drive recovered from his home revealed that Shah had practiced flying a path eerily similar to the one MH370 took on his flight simulator.?
Authorities suspect Shah meticulously planned his operation using the simulator before executing it on March 8, 2014.
