In order to pay respect and homage to New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern for how she stood with the community after a white supremacist killed 50 Muslim worshippers in a mosque in Christchurch, the worldĄŻs tallest building, the Burj Khalifa was lit up with the picture of New Zealand PM on Friday night.
"New Zealand today fell silent in honour of the mosque attacks' martyrs. Thank you PM @jacindaardern and New Zealand for your sincere empathy and support that has won the respect of 1.5 billion Muslims after the terrorist attack that shook the Muslim community around the world," Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister of UAE tweeted.
A total of 50 people were killed by a white supremacist he opened fire indiscriminately at the worshippers which left the world dumbstruck. New Zealand government and people in general have come out massively in solidarity of Muslim community living there and PM Ardern time and again has reiterated that Muslim community is an integral part of the New Zealand culture and society.
