April 15, 2004 saw Rawalpindi treated to some exemplary batsmanship.
Rahul Dravid produced a masterpiece with his willow and even the Pakistanis were left in awe of the great man.

Dravid was unbeaten on Day 2 with a score 134 to his name. The third day saw him step up a gear as India pushed for the big lead. The series was locked 1-1 and this was the decider.
The Wall kept on batting with good shots all around the ground as the opposition began to lose control. Pakistan were being made to sweat it out on the field while Dravid kept on pushing forward.
Soon he reached his 5th double hundred. This was just 4 months after a brilliant 233 against Australia in Adelaide. It was his 3rd in the last 6 months.

Dravid was looking good for a triple ton as he accelerated in the final session. Eventually he was bowled for a reverse sweep, but the damage had been done.
He finished off with 270 in 495 balls with 34 fours and one six. India amassed 600 and took a 376-run lead.
The match was wrapped up next day with the visitors winning by an innings and 131 runs and clinching their first series win on Pakistani soil.
This was one of Dravid's better innings. When he hung up his boots in 2012, it remained his highest score. At that time it was the 3rd highest Test score by an Indian. As of now it is at number 6.
The Wall has 36 hundreds and some selected ones are special. This one certainly ranks pretty high up.?
