A ripped body is something we can definitely be proud of. Having an MMA fighter¡¯s physique is truly a remarkable achievement whatever your purpose is. It doesn't come for free though, and definitely building only a good physique doesn't cut it in mixed martial arts.?

Like us, there are plenty out there with ambition and aspirations, take the Russian bodybuilder Kirill Tereshin for one. Popularly known as Popeye because of his impossibly huge arms, he looks scary. Well, the first sight of him could make you look timid and minuscule.?
Yet, he could be forgiven for trying his luck in a MMA encounter. Like many who think good muscles and strength makes you a fighter, beloved Popeye thought too. Well, he just took part in his first MMA bout - but things did not go well for the man with the synthol-boosted biceps.

Although he got a few punches in early on, Kirill was knocked down and ended up tapping out in just three minutes. Yes, those muscles could barely last more than 180 seconds.?
Kirill realised it for good - it takes more than just good meat to make the grade. The MMA fighters toil hard for years, and their body is one that is specially designed for strength, speed, endurance, power and coordination.
The MMA is about finding the place to train and working out, insanely while you are at it. You have to start learning how to fight, having a consistent diet plan, and learning the techniques.?

Simply put, becoming a fighter will require you to develop a number of combative skills. This includes boxing, kicking, takedowns and grappling. To achieve this, you¡¯ll need to have a ton of dedication, discipline as well as endurance.??
To make a career in MMA, you have to have the desired attributes. You have be mentally and physically very tough. You also need to be disciplined in your approach and have the intelligence to learn the techniques quickly and get accustomed to them.?
Moral of the story: don't show up with only muscle and strength in the octagon, or else you suffer the 'Popeye'fate.?
