Alan Ruschel is one of the lucky ones. He was one of six survivors of the tragic plane crash in Colombia last year which killed 71 players.
It was also carrying members and staff of the Chapecoense Real side and they lost most of their team. Three players survived.

Now Ruschel is set to make his return to football and it will be in a friendly match against Barcelona on August 7.
"Alan's return marks an important step in his recuperation as well as for the club's reconstruction," the club said in a statement.

"Considering the importance and magnitude of this game¡ it was understood to be the ideal occasion for a return."
Along with Ruschel, defender Neto and goalkeeper Jakson Follmann were the ones who made it out.

Ruschel was in hospital for over two weeks and had to have back surgery. Follmann had part of his leg amputated.
