Glenn Phillips has done it once more ¡ª first against Pakistan, then India, and now in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final. The New Zealand all-rounder, known for his electric presence on the field, took a jaw-dropping catch to dismiss Shubman Gill in Dubai.
With Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill building a strong 100+ run partnership, New Zealand desperately needed a breakthrough. On the 4th ball of the 19th over, Gill attempted an aerial shot to clear the boundary, but Phillips ¡ª stationed at short extra cover ¡ª leaped into the air, plucking the ball one-handed in a gravity-defying moment.
This isn't Phillips' first show-stopping catch. Earlier in the tournament, he wowed fans by grabbing a stunning catch at point to dismiss Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan. He also pulled off a one-handed stunner to remove Virat Kohli during the group stage.
