Glenn Phillips has done it once more — first against Pakistan, then India, and now in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final. The New Zealand all-rounder, known for his electric presence on the field, took a jaw-dropping catch to dismiss Shubman Gill in Dubai.
With Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill building a strong 100+ run partnership, New Zealand desperately needed a breakthrough. On the 4th ball of the 19th over, Gill attempted an aerial shot to clear the boundary, but Phillips — stationed at short extra cover — leaped into the air, plucking the ball one-handed in a gravity-defying moment.
This isn't Phillips' first show-stopping catch. Earlier in the tournament, he wowed fans by grabbing a stunning catch at point to dismiss Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan. He also pulled off a one-handed stunner to remove Virat Kohli during the group stage.
