People are not too happy when it was reported that that the Indian players have been asked to follow a strict diet plan.
While the players cannot eat pork and beef, what has fans fuming is that that the players are only allowed to consume ¡®halal¡¯ meat and nothing else.?
¡°According to the new dietary plan of the Indian cricket team, "players aren¡¯t allowed to eat pork and beef in any form and variety in order to keep themselves fit and healthy,¡± said a Sports Tak report.?
¡°If anyone wants to have meat then it should be only in halal form, players can¡¯t eat any other form of meat whatsoever,¡± it added.?
For those unfamiliar, an animal can be slaughtered in 2 ways. The 'Halal' method involves giving the animal a cut and left to die by slow bleeding. Meanwhile, the 'jhatka' method is where the animal is slaughtered in one go.?
While Hinduism and Sikhism prohibit Halal meat, for Muslims, eating any other kind of meat is forbidden.?
