We have not yet gotten over the craze of kambala runner Srinivasa Gowda, that another man by the name of Nishant Shetty has broken the 'Indian Usain Bolt's' record.?
Shetty ran a distance of 143m in 13.68 seconds. When calculated on 100m he has covered it in 9.51 seconds, whereas Gowda's time was 9.55 seconds.?
So looks like we have a new runner to contend with. Is he India's next Usain Bolt? Who knows??
Meanwhile Gowda, who was invited to take part in SAI trials, declined the invitation by Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju. However he may take part after the kambala season ends.?
"I never thought I will run this fast. The main role was played by the buffaloes and the owner. He looked after them well. The buffaloes can run even faster," Gowda said after meeting with Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.?
Shetty has set a new record and it shows Gowda's speed can be trumped. ?
