Captaining the Indian cricket team is a lot of responsibility. Virat Kohli, however, has embraced the role pretty well.

Kohli took over the Test captaincy after MS Dhoni quit the format in late 2014. Since then, his form has gone up tremendously.
His average as skipper is 53.92 compared to his 41.13 as non-skipper. Big difference indeed!
He had 7 tons in 31 tests before leading the team, since then he has registered 6 hundreds in 17 matches.

Even in the ODI format, he has done better at the helm. ?In 17 ODIs as skipper, he averages 70.83 with 4 tons, compared to 50.36 as non-skipper in 155 ODIs.
He can certainly be hailed as a modern-day great, and he is certainly on the right path to becoming a legend.
Kohli has played some scintillating knocks for his country, but Sourav Ganguly has his pick.
The former Indian captain chose the 133 not out against Sri Lanka in Hobart in 2012.

And with good reason too. India had to chase down 320 in 40 overs to win a bonus point in the tri-series.?
Kohli made on the attack and demolished Lasith Malinga in one over. The Lankans never recovered as India went over the line.
That's Kohli for you! Winning matches is a habit for the man and India are never tired of it.
