WWE superstar Omos has received surprise backing from one of the most influential professional wrestlers of all time¡ªThe Undertaker. The Deadman compared 'the Nigerian Giant' to the late French wrestling legend Andre the Giant.??
Speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker termed the Nigerian Giant Omos as a modern-day Andre the Giant. The 30-year-old Nigerian, who started his career as a college basketball player, stands at an impressive height of seven foot three inches. In comparison, Andre the Giant, who passed away in 1993 at the age of 46, stood at seven foot four inches tall.??
The Undertaker, who himself is among the tallest wrestlers the WWE has ever seen, standing at a height of six foot ten inches, said Omos has the potential to become the face of the company.??
"He could be a global ambassador for the sport. Andre was the face of wrestling long before the Hogans and anybody else came along. You can¡¯t think of a better person, if you want somebody to go out and represent your brand around the world, somebody seven-foot-four, 400-pound, intelligent human being with tons of personality," The Undertaker said.??
Calling Omos a 'walking, breathing, living attraction', The Undertaker said there are not many people on the roster that Omos can't squash.??
"There¡¯s just nobody on the roster that makes sense. I don¡¯t care how over or what you are. If you sacrifice that, I just don¡¯t¡ you can¡¯t do it. You have to be so judicious in how you handle him, and there¡¯s not many people I don¡¯t think that he shouldn¡¯t just squash. He is a modern-day Andre," The Undertaker said.??
Omos, who made his WWE debut in 2020 as the enforcer for AJ Styles, is a one-time WWE Tag Team Champion.??
It should be noted that Omos has been absent from WWE since the 2024 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the night before WrestleMania 40.??
Last month, former WWE champion Bobby Lashley claimed that several WWE stars tried to get Omos fired as they were getting injured by the giant.??
