On paper, India were clearly the better team before the Champions Trophy final started. After all, they have big names such as Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan and MS Dhoni.
Pakistan were the underdogs for whom beating India was a distant hope. After a 124-run loss against India in the tournament's opener, Pakistan were obviously not the favourites. But Mohammad Amir, Junaid Khan and Shadab Khan turned the tables in Pakistan's favour and the rest is history.
Winning and losing is obviously part of sport. But what's more important is sportsmanship, which both teams showed after the game was over. In a video, both Indian captain Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh were spotted chilling with Pakistani cricketers, especially Shoaib Malik, who was probably cracking a joke or a two.
This obviously is a display of sportsmanship from Kohli and Yuvraj, who didn't choose to sulk after embarrassing defeat.
