There can be another Chris Gayle, Shahid Afridi or Ricky Ponting - but there's only one Virender Sehwag. He's the man who taught India how to win Test matches. His triple centuries bear testimony to the fact. His first one came against Pakistan in Multan. And the second one was the fastest triple hundred ever, which was scored against South Africa in Chennai.
This happened during India's tour of South Africa in 2008. It was the first Test match of the series, where Sehwag unleashed his beast mode to score a 304-ball 319. And his triple century came up in 278 deliveries, which is the fastest ever.
Batting first in the match, South Africa posted a 540-run total, hence dominating the Test right from the start. Indian openers Wasim Jaffer and Virender Sehwag put up a steady fight.
Jaffer held on to one side with firm conviction while Sehwag blasted the South African bowlers no holds barred.
