Atharva Ankolekar and Ravi Bishnoi helped India set up a quarterfinal date with Australia in the Under-19 World Cup after they bowled their side to victory vs New Zealand.
The game was reduced to 23 overs per side due to rain and India scored 115/0 when play was interrupted. Yashasvi Jaiswal (57 not out off 72 balls) and Divyansh Saxena (52 no off 62 balls) gave us the perfect start.
New Zealand were set 192 to win based on the DLS method but managed just 147 in 21. India now have topped the group with 6 points.?
Ankolekar took 3/28 while Bishnoi had figures of 4/30. India's clash vs Australia is on January 28.
A fifth title is definitely on the cards but the Aussies are tough to beat. When India won the last edition it was Australia they defeated in the final and now the Aussies will be looking for revenge.?
But the Boys in Blue are looking good. In fact under Priyam Garg's leadership, they have excelled in all three departments.?
So bring it on Australia and come January 28, expect a brilliant performance once again. Do not be surprised if our boys are lifting the trophy on February 9.?
