It is no secret that despite launching Windows 10 over two years ago, a lot of Microsoft's customers still love Windows 7. So much so that they don't want to upgrade to Windows 10.
Now Microsoft will let them do just that for a small monthly subscription fee.

First released on July 22, 2009, Windows 7 has been out in the wild for close to a decade, and it's scheduled to expire (or reach end of life) on January 14, 2020.
That's when Microsoft is expected to officially stop supporting the decade-old Windows 7 operating system with software support and critical security updates.?

But according to a brand new blog post, the software giant is showing that it's changing with the times, announcing that Windows 7 users can continue to get support for a fixed monthly fee.
"We understand that everyone is at a different point in the upgrade process (from Windows 7 to Windows 10)," wrote Jared Spataro, Corporate Vice President for Office and Windows Marketing on the company blog. "With that in mind, we are announcing that we will offer paid Windows 7 Extended Security Updates (ESU) through January 2023."
There is no word on what the monthly subscription fee will be priced at, right now. While Windows 10 has overtaken Windows 7 users earlier this year, Windows 7 is still being used by 40% of the PC users. For all those users, this extended support for a small fee is great news.
