Apple's iMac Pros are its most powerful computing systems, really handy for those that need to do a lot of video or design work.
And now, the company is making them faster with better upgrade options. Unfortunately, they're also much more expensive now.

Make no mistake, the updated upgrade options will empty out your wallet. The base model of the iMac Pro already runs you slightly less than $5,000 or Rs 3,44,000. Maxing out the hardware then can drive that price up to a staggering $15,927, or Rs 10,97,000.
The most expensive of these upgrades is boosting your RAM from 32GB to 256GB DDR4, which costs $5,200 alone. You know, how much you'd spend if you wanted a second iMac Pro to work with. Similarly, adding a 16GB Radeon Pro Vega 64X GPU will cost you $700, while upgrading to a 2.3GHz 18-core Intel processor will run you another $2,400.
At close to Rs 11 lakh, that's a ridiculous amount to pay for a computer, even if it is that powerful. In fact, the maxed out version is so powerful you probably won't ever use it to the fullest. You can use the 256GB RAM to freely run advanced AI process, or even rent out your compute power.
Maybe Apple is planning for these iMac Pros to remain utility-strong even years into the future. It's still far too much to pay though, and another example of how Apple tries to maintain its premium and elite reputation with unnecessarily high device costs.
