iPhone 15 is coming this year! As we inch closer to September, leaks and rumours will become more vivid. This time, a dummy unit of the iPhone 15 Pro was seen on the Chinese version of TikTok.
According to this new leak, Apple is set to make numerous tweaks to its Pro iteration of the iPhone this year - including changes to the button placement and more. While some changes are expected to be implemented through the iPhone 15 series, some could be found on just the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max (or Ultra) models.
For starters, it's time to finally big goodbye to the Lightning port as all iPhone 15 models are expected to receive the USB-C port. The Pro models will come with a titanium chassis and solid-state buttons. These buttons will look different than they appear on the outgoing iPhone 14 Pro, as seen on?Douyin, the Chinese equivalent of TikTok.
It also appears that the ring/silent switch will be replaced by an Action button, just like on the Apple Watch Ultra, if the rumours about these solid-state buttons are true. I don't know how to feel about potentially losing the switch - we know how that backfired for OnePlus - until the company had to eventually bring the slider back on its recent offerings.

There are a lot of small details that can be seen on the dummy model that most likely originated from leaked CADs from iPhone case makers - as it usually happens. Will the iPhone 15 Pro come with a physical SIM card slot, given that the same was removed from all US models last year? We don't know yet.
All the iPhone 15 models are expected to come with last year's Pro-only feature - the Dynamic Island, along with thinner bezels, increased ram, and A17 Bionic chip for the iPhone 15 Pro model.

The new iPhone 15 line-up is expected to be announced this September, as is customary for Apple. But before we get to see the new iPhones, we'll get a sneak peek into the upcoming iOS 17 at Apple's WWDC23 event in June.
