Apple's next iPhone line up is expected to show up in September this year, as is customary. It appears that the iPhone 15 Pro Max (which could be rebranded as iPhone 15 Ultra) could come with a larger camera sensor.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max could come with a 48-megapixel Sony sensor. Even though in terms of the megapixels, the sensor is the same as the one on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, its capabilities will mark an upgrade this year.
According to tipster Ice Universe, the iPhone 15 Pro Max could come with a new 48-megapixel Sony IMX903 sensor as opposed to the Sony IMX803 48-megapixel sensor that is found on the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The Sony IMX903 is almost an inch big, suggesting that its bigger size would add to more detailed images. But this might mean an even larger camera bump in the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max model.

On the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models, Apple used a 48-megapixel primary sensor along with a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and optical image stabilisation (OIS), and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
