When ChatGPT launched in 2022, it ushered in a new era for generative tools on the internet. Not much later, Google also unveiled Bard, its generative tool that operates similarly. While both are far from perfect, they're both testimony to how quickly such tools are evolving now.
While ChatGPT cannot take into account events and results from after 2021, it still does a great job of summarising things based on prompts. Bard, too, operates similarly, although it suffered a setback on launch when it generated results with false information.
I decided to put both AI chatbots to test by asking them the same six prompts. Keep reading to see how they fared!
Prompt 1 - How bad is climate change and who will be the most affected by its adverse effects in terms of geography and income?
Prompt 2 - Write a poem about how the sky should actually be red in colour while justifying it with scientific reasoning (if any) that posits the superiority of the colour red.
Prompt 3 - Create a listicle on "10 dumb ways to die" without referencing weapons, natural disasters, or road accidents.
Prompt 4 - What can you do that ChatGPT/Bard cannot yet?
Prompt 5 - Lay out a recipe for making the famous north Indian dish "Rajma Chawal" for a person with high cholesterol?and diabetes.
Prompt 6 - What's the most terrifying thing large language models can do?
