This feature made its debut sometime last year on the smartphone version of the app. However, now the feature has also been rolled out on the browser version of the app.
The announcement for this new feature was made via Google¡¯s official blog post. The feature uses AI to enhance the brightness of the device for better visibility, if it senses the video footage is appearing underexposed during a video call.
The feature is now a part of the web version of the video meeting app. To use this feature, first make sure your video camera in the meeting is on. Next, look for the ¡®More¡¯ tab. Then head into Settings, then select the ¡®Video¡¯ option.
Under the video option, you¡¯ll get to see an option dubbed ¡®Adjust video lighting¡¯. By enabling this feature, Google Meet can detect if the video cam footage of the user appears underexposed and starts enhancing it automatically to the appropriate levels.?
