The first-ever Rolls-Royce SUV has finally landed in India with a price tag that touches a whopping Rs 6.95cr (ex-showroom, Delhi). Make no mistake though, as that is only the starting price of the one-of-a-kind high-riding luxury. There are a host of customisation options that come along and as you start ticking all the boxes, the price only goes higher.
This, in no way, is a surprise for anyone acquainted with the work of the British luxury car maker. What does come as a ¡®first timer¡¯, is the SUV format from the house of Rolls Royce. After all, it was time that the company embraced the world¡¯s new found love for high-ground vehicles.

The ¡®Rolls-Royce¡¯ Touch
So how do you make a common, or rather, rejoiced format of vehicles and bring it to the ¡®Rolls-Royce¡¯ level of grandeur. You add every bit of luxury known to humankind, of course, in a way that only Rolls-Royce can. Forget about the blend of plush leather and metal in the interiors, or the electronically controlled folding seats and the raising boot floor, or the fact that the company claims it to be the world¡¯s first SUV to feature a partition glass that seals the rear cabin from the luggage zones (for better climate control and sound insulation).

Get this, if the times call for a celebration, the SUV offers a centre console drinks cabinet, that comes loaded with two Rolls-Royce whisky glasses, a decanter and refrigerator, and not to miss, two Champagne flutes.
No wait, you don¡¯t want to spoil your super-lavish car interiors. Then you just step outside and call up the Cullinan¡¯s ¡®Viewing Suite¡¯. With a single press of a button, the rear of the car opens up to bring two leather seats and a cocktail table, so you can sip away your sight seeing.

Tech-loaded with a signature touch?
The price is not only for the luxury though. Once inside the car, you will find every connectivity feature you might need on the go. 12-inch touchscreen systems with picnic tables, wireless device charging, USB type-C, HDMI, AV, Blu Ray, headphone ports to name a few. And in a classic Rolls-Royce fashion, there is an integrated umbrella, well, just in case you would want to step out.
There are other Rolls-Royce iconic features as well. The front Rolls-Royce chrome grille for instance, and the ¡®Spirit of Ecstasy¡¯ symbol on top. The Cullinan also gets the symbolic ¡®Rolls-Royce¡¯ coach doors.

Under the hood
In case all this does not cut it for you, and your petrol-head?instincts are curious about what¡¯s under the hood, know that the whole idea of Cullinan was to be no less than a beast under every circumstance. For that, Rolls-Royce has used a 6.75-litre V12 capable of producing 563 bhp of power and 850 Nm of torque at 1,600 RPM. Don¡¯t think this is the ¡®mind-blowing¡¯ part though.
Since it is an SUV, the Cullinan naturally comes with an off-road mode. As can be guessed, the mode is meant to take you ¡®everywhere¡¯ a four wheel high-riding vehicle can, thanks to the electronic suspension that delivers torque as per the individual 22-inch alloy wheel¡¯s requirement.

With all this, the Cullinan is able to cover 100 kms on 15.0 liters of fuel, as claimed by the company. So if you have a spare Rs 6.95 crore lying around and are in the market for a new car, the Rolls Royce Cullinan may just be it.
