Navkendar Singh, Research Director, Client Devices & IPDS, IDC India explains, ¡°The rebound of the smartphone market in the latter half of 2020 underscores the importance of devices in our day-to-day lives. Xiaomi continued to claim the top position among the top five with 39 percent market share in 2020. Samsung continued to hold on to its second position that it earned in 2020. It saw a 65 percent year-on-year growth in online sales while offline declined 28 percent.?
The third company to ship most devices was Vivo with a 30 percent share in the offline channel. Realme surpassed Oppo in claiming the fourth position, selling 19 million annual shipments and growing 19 percent year on year.
