We all know what happens to us after a nice lunch, day after day. We work drowsily till the clock hits 4 pm and we run to grab our pre-evening coffee or tea.
All we can think of at the time is to get a brief nap, but what about the deadlines? Turns out science is in the favour of afternoon naps, too.

According to a report from the Spanish Society of Primary Care Physicians, a short nap after lunch can be really helpful in reducing stress, improve alertness and productivity while also helping improve cardiovascular functions.
An afternoon nap is actually a part of the natural human cycle, and it needs it just like it needs the night sleeps. The study stated that elimination of this could considerably impact one's health similar just like when you skip meals, or worse.?
And just like everything, consistency is key. This will only yield results when done daily, as opposed to one off.?
They also mention that the siesta should be brief and not longer than a half hour, as that could do more harm than good. Moreover, it is advisable to try doing this on an office chair or sofa, as opposed to a bed, to prevent from going into deep sleep.
A recent survey conducted by Wakefit.co -- an online mattress manufacturing company, revealed that out of 1500 people, 86 percent of people think a nap time at work could really help in improving their productivity while also warding off work stress. The survey also reveals that over 70 percent of people work in offices without a nap room.
