Samsung is embracing "Make in India" with its freshly launched flagship Galaxy S23 series that includes the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
A day after the launch, Samsung announced that all Galaxy S23 smartphones sold in India would be manufactured at its factory in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. In 2018, the South Korean tech giant had opened the world's largest mobile manufacturing plant in Noida.
Now, many companies including Apple are also investing in India to diversify their manufacturing portfolio and to limit their singular dependence on China, especially in the aftermath of strict Covid-19 protocols that were only very recently lifted.
