Speedo has a brand that has been iconic with swimwear. And, now, they¡¯ve developed a new swimsuit with technological advancements and AI sorcery that claims to help swimmers go faster by 4 percent.?

The swimsuit is called Fastskin 4.0 and Speedo calls it the most intelligent swimsuit of all time. The swimsuit firstly looks nothing like the ones we¡¯ve commonly seen and instead looks like something Aquaman or some other superhero would don.?
The suit was developed in collaboration with Aqualab and is fabricated superficially to a swimmer¡¯s body. It's been developed from bio-engineered genetically modified bacteria with energy-harvesting fabric that would power itself.?
The suit also is 80 percent biodegradable. It consists of an in-built exoskeleton that actually flexes to offer more power. The surface of the suit is inspired by shark fins and has been designed in a way to help the wearer flow smoothly through the water.
The suit also has a core reactor that equalises the body position in the water, allowing for additional streamlining. Along with this, it comes with an AI live coach that helps correct any wrong moves in real-time. With AI micro-sensors printed into the suit's structure, AI coach would allow monitoring of the athlete's vitals before, during and after the races.

It also gets an Adaptive Smart Lock that allows for the wearer to easily slip in and out of the suit. In fact, the seals around the neck, wrist and ankles tighten automatically based on the wearer¡¯s custom settings, eliminating the need for zips or fasteners.
While all this sounds too good to be true, it, for now, is, as it's still in the concept stage and it would take some time for us to see in flesh anytime soon. Moreover, with the tech that it's packing inside, don¡¯t expect it to be cheap.

Duncan Scott, the Scottish swimming star who will represent Team GB at the Tokyo Olympic Games next month, calls this a ¡®game-changer, ¡°The Fastskin 4.0 is an incredibly cool concept and it's really exciting to see the advances in technology and how they can be applied to the pool.¡±
He added ¡°Ever since I was a young swimmer, Speedo has been leading the way in terms of technology and it is great to know that they are always working away in the background to make sure that we have the very best suit possible. I'm quite jealous of the next generation of swimmers who will have the support of all this work.¡±
