Developed by Polaris Solution in collaboration with Israel¡¯s Ministry of Defense, the Kit 300 sheet is made of something that the company calls thermal visual concealment or TVC material. Essentially, it fuses microfibres, metals and polymers to hide the soldier in plain sight as well as through thermal cameras.?
Both sides of the Kit-300 get their own set of colours to allow the soldier to blend with different kinds of landscapes -- one side is used in dense vegetation and the other more apt for desert-like areas.?
But it won¡¯t be limited to just two as the company says it can customise the pattern depending on the need. The material is completely waterproof and can offer shelter by turning itself into a small cavity similar to a tent.?
The whole material, despite its size, is just 500 grams in weight and is sturdy enough to hold three-dimensional shapes. Moreover, it is also strong enough to work as a stretcher to carry wounded soldiers with a weight of up to 250 kilograms. Moreover, it can also be used as a hypothermia blanket or a splint.?

Asaf Picciotto, co-founder and CEO of Polaris Solutions, said in a statement to the Media Line, "As far as we know, or as far as we've seen in other armies around the world, we're very unique. To prove it, we actually registered the patent in many countries in the world."
The idea for the blanket came from Picciotto¡¯s time with the Israel Defense Forces during the Second Lebanon War of 2016. He explained, ¡°You have to be better than the enemy and we understood that there were big gaps in the survivability part. Our product is being tested by several units, which I can't name, and we have some joint operations there.¡±
