The iPhone 15 series launch is roughly a week away and one of the biggest rumours surrounding the iPhone 15 Pro models is the expected high price tag. The Pro models of the iPhone are already quite expensive, and according to a senior analyst, the models could see a hike of up to $100 (?8,306).
The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max could see a "major price hike," according to DigiTimes' senior analyst Luke Lin. This might be owing to lowering demand for smartphones and rising cost of components.
The new iPhone models are expected to release on September 12 at Apple's Wonderlust event. Lin claims that the price of the iPhone 15 Pro Max could touch $1,299 (?1,07,883 but will probably be even more expensive in India), making it the most pricey iPhone to date.

The culprit? Tom's Guide says that the titanium alloy frame that's expected to be on the iPhone 15 Pro line up may be to blame. While titanium is more durable than stainless steel, it also costs more. It could also make the heavy Pro models slightly lighter.
Besides this, the iPhone 15 Pro Max (or iPhone 15 Ultra) could sport a new periscope telephoto camera capable of 10x zoom, adding to its prices. Apple is also considering the lowered demand for smartphones in the second half of 2023. To make up for expected revenue loss, the company could be jacking up iPhone 15 Pro prices.

In addition, Apple could also make the iPhone 15 Pro models larger - going from 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches for Pro and Pro Max models to 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches respectively.
