Plenty of you are probably console gamers, which means you've played on the PlayStation before.
So what do you call the southernmost button on the DualShock controller? Is it 'Ex', like the letter? That's obvious right? Well no, as it turns out you're dead wrong.

Apparently, it's not 'Ex' at all, but rather 'Cross'. And if that insinuation makes you cross, don't take it from us. Instead, believe the maker of the actual console.
The debate has been doing the rounds lately on social media and Sony decided to weigh in, proving millions of people wrong in their absolute assuredeness.
"Triangle. Circle. Cross. Square."
Some Twitter users chimed in with what seems a logical explanation. The rest of the buttons are geometric shapes not letters, as is this one. So thanks to its shape, it's a cross and not an X.
And of course there were still others trying to throw a third entry into the pot, as though there wasn't enough confusion to begin with.
And if you're feeling bad about this mind blowing discovery, don't. Apparently 81 percent of 168,950 people that responded got it wrong in a poll being run by PlayStation's Twitter handle.?
So, can we just pretend this never happened and it just remains Ex forever?
