The OnePlus Nord Buds 2 are the company's latest addition to its earbud line-up in the affordable segment. The Nord Buds 2 are priced at Rs. 3,299 and show a lot of promise in terms of sound, but are the earbuds worth buying? Keep reading this review to find out.
Honestly, at first I was completely put off by how plasticky and basic the earbuds look. That quickly changed when I tried them on and couldn't believe how positively the sound was comparable to the company's premium earbuds, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 (read review here).

The bland look of the earbuds is something you can get used to. The lid seems rather flimsy, considering when I accidentally dropped it in the street, it opened up and earbuds fell out aggressively in an instant.
The buds feel cheap, well, because they are. If you can move past this, it's a great pair to pick. The buds weigh 4.7 grams each while the charging case weighs 37.5 grams.
The buds fit well, but not great. While doing movement-heavy activities, the buds do fall out. However, there are tips available in the box for you to find the perfect fit.
The OnePlus Nord Buds 2 come with fast pairing, Dolby Atmos support, equaliser capability and are certified IP55 against water and sweat.
The buds support Bluetooth 5.3 and come with 12.4mm drivers. The sound is honestly above average, and make a perfect pair of buds for those who enjoy music only? leisurely. For Rs. 3,299, the buds offer a very memorable sound experience. The noise cancellation is very effective, surprisingly.

While the bass becomes muddy and there is some latency every now and then, the earbuds are able to do justice to most genres of music. Lows are good although slightly scratchy, these will not catch songs with a lot of bass well. The mids and highs are good. This combination works as long as you're not listening to music with a lot of low frequency layering and need to catch notes in that register.
With adaptive noise cancellation on, the earbuds can last for up to 5 hours. With ANC off, the OnePlus Nord Buds 2 can last for at least 7 hours.
