In a statement, Xiulin Ruan, a mechanical engineering professor at Purdue said that when they started out, their goal was to create a paint colour which would reflect sunlight away from a building.That's where all the white comes in.

With phenomenal reflective properties, the whitest paint on Earth is able to reflect a whopping 98.1 per cent of solar radiation. Shook?
