Andor Season 2 X review: Andor Season 2 is off to a powerful start, and fans are already calling it one of the strongest Star Wars shows to date. Only three episodes in, and it's clear this season isn¡¯t holding back.

Now streaming on Disney+, the 12-episode season continues to dig into the roots of the rebellion, following Cassian Andor¡¯s journey through a world on the brink of uprising. Its gripping storyline is filled with the kind of tension that reminds you what's really at stake in the fight against the Empire.

What is Andor Season 2 about?

Andor Season 2 is a slow-burn political thriller that tracks Cassian Andor¡¯s evolution from a man on the run to a key player in the growing rebellion. Set in the tense buildup to Rogue One, where Cassian ultimately helps steal the Death Star plans with Jyn Erso, the series dives deep into the messy, behind-the-scenes work of resisting the Empire.

Picking up about a year after his escape from Narkina 5, Cassian finds himself back in the game, though not entirely by choice. At one point, Luthen even considers taking him out to protect the bigger mission before ultimately deciding Cassian is too important to lose. Season 2 focuses on his gradual shift from survivor to soldier, all taking place four years before the Battle of Yavin, the turning point that would change the galaxy forever.

This is a timely, topical, anti-fascist razing with dimensional, morally complex characters. Tony Gilroy adds such richness to this universe. It¡¯s the best STAR WARS in years."
